Super Borovets Development

The Super Borovets Project supported by the Sultan of Oman, plans to transform the Rila Mountain region into a fabulous year-round resort . The aim of the project is to develop the tourism sector with the help of the local people, whilst at the same time, trying to observe the eco- balance of the region.

The scheme will double the ski terrain of Borovets to make it by far the largest in Bulgaria and will include the construction of many new ski lifts, gondolas and cable cars.

There will be no large scale hotel development and the project will focus on developing local attractions to make the area the most attractive sporting activity area in the Balkans together  with many summer activities including a new PGA golf course at Dolya Banya

Goal: transforming Samokov and North Rila region into the most attractive tourism complex on the Balkans.
Investments: around €450
Ski pistes- up to 100 kilometres
Equipment- new lifts with a capacity for 35000 people per hour
Infrastructure- new roads and local facilities
